Ability Map is looking for editors

We have some exciting news – thanks to the generosity of individual donors, the support received through the Platform of the BCause Foundation, and a donation from Shelly Europe, we now have the resources to invite editors to join the creation of Ability Map – the first online map of opportunities for people with special needs in Bulgaria.

This project is created by and for people who face various challenges daily – parents, specialists, volunteers, and everyone who believes that information should be accessible, verified, and understandable for all.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking editors to join our team who will:

• Describe useful resources in areas such as education, healthcare, social services, financial support, and more.

• Verify the accuracy and timeliness of the information.

• Organize the content in a way that is easy to understand and use by parents and individuals in need.

Who are we inviting?

• Parents of children with special needs who want to contribute their experience.

• Students and professionals in special education, social work, psychology, and related fields.

• People with a personal motivation to be part of a meaningful cause.

What do we offer?

So far, we have raised a fund of 5,700 BGN for compensation, which allows us to offer:

• 3 honoraria of 1,500 BGN (net) each, or

• 1 honorarium of 4,500 BGN (net)

We expect this funding to support the research and documentation of around 225 resources from Sofia and across the country.
